Endorsed Midwife | Co-founder of The Village

I am an endorsed privately practicing midwife with admitting rights at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital. I have worked across a variety of models of care across Perth since qualifying but transferred into private practice in 2022, primarily supporting women planning a homebirth.

I am currently enrolled in a Masters of Midwifery (Research) at ECU for which I am exploring women’s experiences of care with a private midwife with admitting rights in WA. I also teach at university, work as a research assistant on the PauseMatters research study and organise the Strength to Progress conference every year.

At home I have a dog, chickens and a parrot. I enjoy trying to grow food in the garden but it is often enjoyed more by the birds and bugs than by me. I show my love through food. And some days I try to be a pinterest mum….but that usually doesn’t work out either. I can’t keep a beat to save my lie, but love a good boogie.

I started The Village Wellness Centre because I really do believe that women deserve more! I struggled to find my village after having my daughter so I wanted to bring my love for evidence-based, woman-driven care together with the innate need for women to be surrounded by women to create something that should have always been - because every woman deserves a Village.

Endorsed Midwife | Co-founder of The Village

I’ve been a midwife for over a decade, working across a variety of models of care and supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum period. In 2020, I established my own private midwifery practice, grounded in evidence-based care, true continuity, and deep respect for women’s bodily autonomy and informed choice. I’m (ridiculously) passionate when it comes to supporting women to make the decisions that feel right for them and their babies.

I have a particular interest in breech birth and vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC), and I am currently working with Breech Without Borders on their Breech Video Analysis project, contributing to ongoing learning and research in this space.

The Village Wellness Centre was created from a deep belief that women and families thrive when care is collaborative, connected and community-based. After years of working within fragmented systems, I wanted to create a space where families could access trusted, evidence-based care under one roof — a place that values continuity, informed choice, and the understanding that no one should have to navigate pregnancy, birth or parenthood alone.

Outside of midwifery, I’m Mum to my seven-year-old son Logan, share my days with a cocker spaniel–poodle cross (still undecided on which of them has more attitude), and am very much looking forward to becoming a first-time chicken mum.

I truly hope that when women walk through the doors of The Village, they feel safe, seen, deeply supported and genuinely connected. I look forward to welcoming you and hope to see you at The Village soon.

Yoga Instructor

I am a dedicated yoga teacher with a passion for supporting both children and women through mindful movement and breath. My teaching focuses on kids’ yoga and women’s wellness, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum journey.

Over the past several years, I have discovered a deep love for helping children develop mindfulness through playful yet conscious yoga practices. I teach students from early childhood through to teenage years, with a particular joy in guiding curious and excited toddlers aged 2 to 5.

I am equally committed to nurturing mothers throughout the prenatal and postnatal stages. My classes offer women the tools to prepare physically, mentally and spiritually for pregnancy, birth and beyond. Through mindful breathwork, gentle movement and guided meditation, I help women deepen their connection to themselves, their babies and their broader village.

My yoga sessions are designed to empower expectant mothers to approach birth with confidence and trust. Each class integrates techniques to ease common discomforts, promote relaxation and create space for mindful connection. My philosophy encourages women to embrace the birth journey with awareness, surrender and self-compassion.

Massage Therapist

I have been offering pregnancy and remedial massage treatments since 2014 following training across Brisbane, Melbourne and Bali. At The Village Wellness Centre, I am offering remedial and pregnancy massage treatments, foot reflexology and manual lymphatic drainage. I massage women from the very start of their pregnancy right up until birth. Massage therapy during pregnancy has many benefits including relaxation, feeling into the body, relief from back, hips and shoulder discomfort and preparing for labour. I am registered with most private health funds.

More about me: I love working with women and being part of their journey into and through motherhood. That is why I trained with Vicki Hobbs to become a doula in 2020 to be involved with births, and now studying midwifery. I am a hiker, a step mother and a mother to many green babies (aka plants), a runner and most recently, an ocean swimmer. I am an inquisitive Sagitarian and have been lucky to have lived, studied and traveled many continents and places.

I look forward to seeing and meeting you.

I am a university-qualified nutritionist and Registered Midwife with a special interest in prenatal nutrition. I combine evidence-based education with a warm, woman-centred approach to deliver personalised nutrition counselling that makes a wholefood approach to pregnancy simple and sustainable.

I especially enjoy supporting first-time mothers, helping them cut through the overwhelm and confusion of pregnancy nutrition so they can confidently nourish themselves and their baby during this significant life transition.

Facialist

I’m Anni, originally from Estonia but now happily calling Australia home for the past 15 years.

I hold a Diploma of Beauty Therapy and have been in the beauty industry for 12 years, working across a variety of treatments. I’m also a certified Holistic Health Coach and deeply passionate about holistic health and well-being. Alongside this, I’m a strong advocate for self-care and self-love.

I believe that as women – and especially as mothers – we need to prioritise ourselves and fill our own cups in order to give fully to our families and those around us. Self-care is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. And self-love goes even deeper: it’s about speaking to yourself kindly, setting healthy boundaries, processing emotions in supportive ways, knowing your worth, and holding high standards for yourself. These are practices I embody in my own life and feel deeply called to inspire other women to embrace.

I offer holistic facial rituals using natural skincare. It’s a sanctuary for women to be held in a safe space, recharge, and experience a sacred pause amidst the busyness of life.

Outside of work, I cherish time with my fiancé Javier and my stepson Noah. I love creating a nurturing home, caring for my health, and embracing the simple joys of life - nature walks, beach sunsets, slow mornings with coffee in bed, making healthy treats, soulful gatherings with like-minded women, travelling, exploring new places, and continually learning and growing into the best version of myself.

Mother Circles | Somatic & Subtle Body Practitioner

I am a devoted woman of service and a mother, offering embodied, multidimensional healing for women and mothers.

With nearly two decades of experience in the healing arts, my work weaves together somatic bodywork, nervous system regulation, womb-centered wisdom, and energetic healing.

I hold mother circles and offer deeply attuned, transformational healing experiences for mothers within the Perth community. My own postpartum journey initiated me into this work and continues to inform the way I support women through the profound thresholds of motherhood.

I am currently training as an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, expanding my capacity to serve mothers with reverence, tradition, and whole-being care.

While I have always had an interest in natural therapies, I have been a massage therapist and in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. I am passionate about working with women’s and children’s health, focusing on menstrual issues, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. I also believe that the mind, body, and soul need to be balanced, and when these imbalances occur we can face anxiety and burnout.

I have specialist paediatric acupuncture training for treating infants through to adolescents, utilising gentle needling and a wide variety of non-needling techniques.
